  • Social expectations may expose a child’s or adult’s inability to focus compared to their peers. Self-focused or hyper behavior may create challenges in school, work, or other social situations.

We work with you and your children to identify goals, develop self-awareness, strategies, and skills necessary for you and them to achieve their full potential in a supportive environment. Together, we will implement practical skills to take accountability for the way your emotions manifest in your environment and the best courses of action.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most frequently diagnosed mental disorders that affects children and adults. The symptoms of ADHD include, but are not limited to:  inability to focus, hyperactivity (excess movement, including excessive talking), and impulsivity (behavior that occurs in the moment).

An estimated 8.4 percent of children and 2.5 percent of adults have ADHD. ADHD is often first identified in young school-aged children when disruptions in the classroom occur and/or problems with schoolwork.  In some instances, it also affects adults. It is more frequently diagnosed in boys than girls.
