Dr. Rita Romero is a licensed psychologist (PSY14190) specializing in adult, adolescent and couples’ psychotherapy and maintains a private practice in Rancho Bernardo, CA located in San Diego County. She has also been licensed as a marriage and family therapist and is founder/CEO of San Diego Psychotherapy Associates, a group practice dedicated to the provision of skilled, respectful, compassionate and effective psychotherapy.

Psychotherapist Jean Stringer is licensed as Marriage, Family and Child Therapist (LMFT 16655) with over 25 years in the field specializing in treatment of adults, adolescents and children dealing with anxiety, eating disorders, depression and health issues. She completed her Masters and all her coursework for her doctorate at California School of Professional Psychology. She has provided skilled clinical service to a diverse population with a variety of presenting concerns. Trained in evidence based treatments such as EMDR, CBT; and also works with individuals from a psychodynamic perspective when indicated. She has worked at Children’s Hospital, along with Mission Bay and El Cajon and at several Military Bases over the past 15 years in addition to being in private practice. She enjoys working with military families, teens, children as well as adults undergoing transitions assisting them in effective healthy stabilization and maximizing their capacity for psychological fitness.
Lea Zweig, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY29254) in San Diego, California. Dr. Zweig received her Psy.D. (Doctorate of Psychology) and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology through Alliant International University in San Diego, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Denver.

Dr. Kiana Behnood is a clinical psychologist (PSY 30753) with years of experience specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Dr. Behnood earned her PsyD. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, San Diego where her dissertation research focused on bullying students with special needs. Dr. Behnood has worked in a diverse range of settings across San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles County. Her experience includes working in community mental health working with all ages, a university counseling center working with young adults, a psychiatric hospital in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, and a private practice.
Some of the main issues Dr. Behnood has helped clients overcome include generalized anxiety, panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, depression, Bipolar Disorder, substance abuse related concerns, and relationship conflicts between partners and families. Dr. Behnood has been completing psychological testing batteries for several years, specifically testing for special needs accommodations and IEPs, differential diagnosis, and ADHD testing.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Behnood is a certified TEFL teacher who has taught and lived abroad in Istanbul, Turkey and Sydney, Australia.
